About Thunder Bay Freestyle Ski Club
Thunder Bay Freestyle Ski Club is not for profit local club that offers freestyle skiing programs aimed at the expanding freestyle scene. The programs are for both recreational and competitive skiers. Our primary goal is to introduce freestyle skiing, in a safe and friendly environment. Thunder Bay Freestyle Ski Club primarily trains at Mount Baldy Ski Area.
FUNdamentalz
Participants, age 8+ years of age, must be strong intermediate skiers and must be able to ski parallel on a blue run, load and unload the ski lift independently and take care of their equipment. Skiers are taught mountain safety, all-terrain skiing, jumps and bumps skills, and an introduction to the Terrain Park.
Development Team
Participants age 12+ years of age must have some previous freestyle experience. This program is intended for athletes who are seriously committed to developing their freestyle skiing skills. This program takes a balanced approach to the freestyle ski disciplines and focuses on teaching skills in Slopestyle, Freeskiing, and Big Air.
Freestylerz
Participants, age 10+ years of age, must be strong intermediate skiers and must be able to ski parallel on blue and black runs, load and unload the ski lift independently, and take care of their equipment. The Freestylerz program is designed for athletes who are interested in developing their technical skills in freestyle skiing.

Requirements
This program is for young Snowboarders ages 7 – 13. Athletes must be able to load a chairlift unassisted, take care of their equipment AND link turns on a green/blue run.
About the Program
A fun, progressive program for athletes who have learned to snowboard and are ready to take their skills to the next level. Our experienced and friendly coaches give athletes the tools to safely progress in the park while training in a fun environment. Athletes will become well-rounded riders with an understanding of the terrain park and a love for freestyle.

About the Development Team
Program Focus
This program takes a balanced approach to the freestyle ski disciplines and focuses on teaching skills in Slopestyle (the terrain park), Freeskiing, and Big Air. Athletes will be expected to participate in local competitions. Comp option to attend regional Freestyle and Freeski Competitions as recommended by our coaching staff.
Requirements
The Development program is intended for athletes Ages 12+ who are making a serious commitment to developing their skills in freestyle skiing. Participants are expected to have previous freestyle experience.
Training Times
Saturday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday Twilight 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

This program takes a balanced approach to the freestyle ski disciplines and focuses on teaching skills in Slopestyle, Freeskiing, and Big Air, to build competent lifelong skiers.

Option to join the Wednesday Twilight Session, Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
